Jerry E. Volesky, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at a Topeka hospital. He was born October 8, 1942 in Marysville, Kansas, the son of Henry A. and Bernice M. (Walker) Volesky.
Jerry graduated from Blue Rapids High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Kansas State University. He was a partner in Knight & Remmele Architects. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects. Jerry enjoyed good times with family and friends, traveling and woodworking.
Jerry married Lana M. Hedlind on April 11, 1963 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include children, John (Lisa) Volesky of Plano, Texas, Michael (Sharon) Volesky of Topeka, five grandchildren, Blakely, Brendan, Taylor (Eric), Erin and Nicholas, and his siblings, Mary Ann (Richard) Spunaugle and Carolyn Waterman.
A private Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
