Jessie Ann D'Andrea, born on August 13, 1941, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Jessie was a remarkable woman whose life was dedicated to caring for her family and enriching their lives with her vibrant spirit.

Throughout her life, Jessie demonstrated unwavering independence and a strong will. As a loving mother, she took great pride in raising her sons, Russell D'Andrea and Jon Daniel Morley. Her dedication extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced the children in her extended family with the same love and care. Jessie was immensely proud of her accomplishments, particularly her children and the many young lives she nurtured.

Jessie's warmth also shone through in her cooking, where her Italian heritage inspired many delicious meals. She had a unique knack for seasoning her dishes to perfection, creating flavors that will be fondly remembered by her family. Jessie cherished the summer months, during which she would redesign the interior of their home, always striving to create a welcoming environment for her loved ones.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as requesting her favorite music on the radio. Andrea Bocelli held a special place in her heart, providing the soundtrack to many cherished family moments. Though she may not have had a green thumb, she found joy in her walks and relished the beauty of the world around her.

In addition to her sons, Jessie leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Bradley James D'Andrea and Brenton Tyler D'Andrea, as well as her great-grandchildren, Hasil Jameson D'Andrea, Cassius Leo D'Andrea, and Rowen Cade Tyler D'Andrea. She is also survived by her brother, Jon Waterholter, and many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply.

Jessie's life was further enriched by her husband, Stephen D'Andrea, with whom she shared over 40 wonderful years before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Charlotte Waterholter, who provided her with the foundation of love and resilience that she carried throughout her life.

Jessie Ann D'Andrea will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of love, strength, and commitment to family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
