Jill Olson-Funk

Jill Catherine Olson-Funk, 52, of Auburn, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

She was born on June 1, 1974, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Elden and Lana (Brunke) Olson. Jill earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota.

On December 17, 2025, she was united in marriage to Aaron Funk in Topeka, Kansas, who survives of the home.

She is also survived by her beloved son, Alex Garner of Manhattan, Kansas; and three stepsons, Tristan Funk, Dylan Funk, and Kaden Funk of Auburn, Kansas.

Jill had a passion for arts and crafts, particularly intricate beadwork, and enjoyed riding her motorcycle. She cherished spending quality time with her husband and their dogs. Dedicated to her professional growth, she was actively pursuing a career as an independent court transcriber.

Honoring her wishes, cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas 66610.
