Jimmie Earl Rose, 81, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026.

He was born September 16, 1944, in Kearney, Nebraska, the son of Earl Vernon and Minnie Ann (Traphagen) Rose. He resided most of his life in Topeka.

Jimmie was employed by Holman Pump and Electric Company in Topeka, retiring in 1992.

He and his wife, Nancy were active at Papan’s Landing Senior Center in North Topeka.

Jimmie married Nancy Marie Holmes on July 14, 1967 in Topeka. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two sons, Jimmy Lee Rose (Sonia Collins) of Topeka and Earl Alvin Rose (Heidi Champagne) of Lawrence, KS; two grandchildren, Dakota and India (Chris); a great-grandson and another expected; his sister, Penny Jo Chase of Topeka; and his brother, Bobby (Debbie) Fitzgerald of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Rose and twin brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Fitzgerald.

Jimmie loved his wife and family. He enjoyed winning at the casino, fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. No services are scheduled. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka are assisting the family.
