Joy Marie Williams

Joy Marie Williams, 78, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

She was born March 24, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd and Georgia (Mitchell) Murphy. Joy was employed by Southwestern Bell for over 25 years, retiring in 1995.

Joy married Alfred Williams in Topeka. They would later divorce. Other survivors include siblings Lloyd Murphy, John Murphy, Harold Murphy & Marilyn Jacobs; sons, Sheldon Williams and Fred Williams; and grandchildren, DeVante, Devin, Desirae, Desmond, Deirra, Sheldon Jr. & Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joy enjoyed reading books, drawing & painting.
