Judy Katherine (McGivern) Row, 85, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
She was born May 1, 1936, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of John F. and Gladys F. (Brill) McGivern. She was a graduate of Hayden High School.
Judy worked with her father at J. F. McGivern Painting, later partnering with her brother, Jack and eventually retired. She would later establish a new partnership with her brother, Mike, daughter, Debby and grandson, Randy at Senne & Company Inc. until her final retirement.
Judy was the true matriarch of her family showing unconditional love, generosity, teaching life lessons and was always willing to help those in need. She was committed to her work, to her family, her friends, and her independence. She enjoyed traveling, had compassion for animals and appreciated her many friends and business relationships.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was an active supporter of the Helping Hands Humane Society and Hayden High School in Topeka.
Survivors include her children, Debby (Dennis) Witthar, Beckie (Roy Burrous) Wiechert, all of Topeka, Bill (Laurie) Row of Overland Park, KS; her adopted children, Jimi Kramer and Jay Row both of Topeka and John H. McGivern of Wichita, KS; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brothers, John F. McGivern II and Michael R. McGivern both of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Susan McGivern and her brother, James McGivern.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
