Kahla Renee Kliment, 59, Carbondale, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023.
Kahla was born July 28, 1964 in Kansas City, KS., the daughter of Charles J. and Wilma L. (Fair) McCully.
She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1984.
She was a paraprofessional for USD-434 and later worked at T.A.R.C.
She was a former member of Mustard Seed Church in Lawrence.
Kahla enjoyed cross stiching.
Kahla married John T. Maupin on March 15, 1985. He died April 12, 2002. She married Thomas Kliment on June 21, 2003 in Lawrence. He survives of the home. Other survivors include their daughter, April Kliment, Topeka; son, Andrew Maupin; and daughter, Ashley Maupin, both of Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow in the Shawnee Center Cemetery in Wakarusa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
