Karen Kelly Burnett, 56, of Topeka, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022.
She was born February 1, 1966, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Farris W. and Sherry (Harrison) Derby.
Karen was employed by SBC, retiring in 2003.
Karen was married to Gilbert A. Burnett Jr. for 22 years. Survivors include her children, Fredrick Burnett of Topeka and Sonya Burnett; sister Regina Derby and brother Wayne Derby; and nephews Justyn Becker, Jessie Becker, and Thomas Derby. She was preceded in death by her father.
Karen enjoyed watching TV and playing games on her phone. She loved to skate when she could and enjoyed family and friends.
There will be a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5th at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
