Karen LaVon Dreasher, 82, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was born in Wheaton, KS the second daughter of Lawrence and Leitha Graf. Growing up in Wheaton, she graduated from Wheaton High School in 1962.

Karen married Allen Davis, together they welcomed their first child, Troy Davis. Later she met and married Melvin Dreasher and together they had one daughter, Melanie Kay.

She worked as a Key Punch Operator for the Topeka Capital Journal. Later, she began working with Prairie Band Casino as a Hotel Hostess/ Front Desk operator. She also helped run a snow removal business and race track. Karen was a woman of many talents and enjoyed various crafts including sewing, gardening, diamond art and interior decorating. She was a big fan of Elvis from the beginning of his career. She traveled and saw most of the United States.

Karen is survived by her son, Troy Davis; grandchildren, Nathan and Kala Davis; great grandchildren, Rylynn and Kyson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen and her second husband, Melvin; sister, Betty Fair; parents; and her daughter Melanie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd. Topeka, KS 66610.
