Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Liggett was born on November 30, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, leaving behind a cherished family legacy.
Kathy was united in marriage with Curtis Alan Liggett on September 17, 1983, in Topeka, Kansas. Together they built a beautiful life in Berryton, Kansas.
Kathy was proud to be a dedicated professional, having worked as an accountant for the Attorney General's office in the State of Kansas. Her academic journey took her through Topeka West High School and Washburn University, where she honed her skills in accounting.
Her family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Alan Liggett; their daughter, Amanda Liggett, son, Drew Liggett, and daughter-in-law, Johannah, who are looking forward to welcoming their first grandchild . Kathy is also survived by her siblings, James Sullivan (Polly) , Terry Sullivan, Mary Sullivan, Eleanor White, Patricia Phillips (John) , and Chris Sullivan (Amy) , as well as Robert Sullivan (Jodi).
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James Eugene Sullivan, in 1974; her sister, Nancy Pierce (Steve), in 2020; and her mother, Monica Joan Bender, in 2021.
In her leisure time, Kathy enjoyed swimming, watching tennis, engaging in home improvement projects, and creating scrapbooks that captured the joyful moments of her life.
Kathy Liggett will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for her family, and her dedication to her work. She leaves a lasting impact on the hearts of all who knew her.
