Kathryn A. Rodgers, 63, Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Kathryn Rodgers, daughter of the late Max and Maxine Sterling was born on June 24th, 1955 in Concordia, Kansas. She attended the public schools of Concordia Kansas and was a graduate of Concordia High School in 1973.

Kathy was a Certified Dental Assistant for 24 years working alongside several doctors in Fort Collins, Colorado, Salina and Topeka Kansas. For the past 6 years, she was employed as a customer service representative at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Health Resource Center.

Kathy was united in holy matrimony to John H. Rodgers on May 19th, 1978 in Salina Kansas. He survives. She was a loving devoted mother to her only daughter, Alisha L. Rodgers and she will be remembered in love by her siblings, Bernita Basnett of Topeka, Kansas, Connie Purvis of Clifton, Kansas, Martha Parrot and Kenneth Sterling, both of Salina, Kansas and the late Harold L. Sterling.

Kathy's wish was to be cremated. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Dove Cremations & Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5375 SW 7th St, Topeka, KS 66606.
