LaDonna Lea Carr, 63, of Topeka, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 13, 2025.
She was born September 1, 1962, in El Reno, Oklahoma, the daughter of Otto and Joan (Heartsill) Mitchell. She graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1980.
LaDonna was employed with Roosevelt-Lincoln Middle School of Salina, for many years as the school lunch lady. She was also a cook for the Martin Luther King Jr. Daycare of Salina.
She is survived by sons, Dustin Mitchell, Lucas Allen, and Kyle Crumpton; daughter, Lacey Davis; 5 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; brother, Jeffrey Mitchell of Salina; and her twin sister, LaVonna Bassler of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gregory Mitchell; niece, Tabatha Cooley; and her beloved dog, Baby.
LaDonna loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was an avid horse rider. You could typically find her with her prayer group, or watching Chiefs Football.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Mission Center Cemetery, on the corner of 29th St and Urish Rd in Topeka, KS.
