Laura Alice Siebert went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2026. A longtime Topeka resident and member of Fellowship Bible Church, Laura was born in Eldon, Missouri, on February 9, 1935, the ninth of ten children born to John Overton Maher and Elsie Mae Ritter. She grew up on a farm where she developed a strong work ethic and was ingrained with the values of honesty and integrity. She devoted 21 years of managerial leadership to the Kmart of Topeka, where she also made lifelong friends.
She is survived by her sister Ramona Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter Mona Gay Williamson of Pace, Florida; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Charles P. Siebert, to whom she was married for 51 years; daughter Marilyn Thompson; stepson Stephen Siebert; six brothers, and three sisters; and her parents.
Laura and Charlie enjoyed a wonderful and rich life together. They travelled to many exciting places around the nation and world, and enjoyed Kansas state fairs, race car events such as the Daytona 500, and country music concerts. They helped organize and host annual family reunions in Branson, Missouri.
Laura loved listening to the Southern gospel music of the Gaither Vocal Band, watching FOX news, histing Bible studies in her home, and getting together with people she loved from Kmart, Curves, and Fellowship Bible Church, which included her devoted friend and caregiver Deb Waylan.
More than anything, Laura loved the Lord, faithfully reading her Bible, attending church, and blessing others with her gifts of encouragement and hospitality.
