LaVerne M. Milligan, 79, of Topeka, passed away at a local hospital on February 2, 2011. She was born on May 30, 1931 to William H. and Margaret J. (Williams) Harris at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She was a machine operator at Hallmark Cards until her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed being a grandparent.
She is survived by three children, Sandra Milligan, Robert Milligan and Tim Milligan; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William Milligan.
A memorial service will be held on February 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar, Topeka, Kansas. Visitation will follow the service.
Inurnment will be in Pennsylvania at a later date.
