Lawrence E. "Larry" Lemon

Lawrence E. “Larry” Lemon, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born November 29, 1932 in Topeka, the son of Charles and Frances (Perry) Lemon.

Larry graduated from Topeka High School. He was an Army Veteran. He served as a Police Officer for the City of Topeka for 23 years before retiring in 1986. Larry later worked as a Special Investigator for the State Attorney General Bob Stephan. He was a member of the FOP and the Moose Lodge.

Larry married Patricia A. Tangeman on September 2, 1956 in Marysville, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include children, Randy (Patti) Lemon of Emporia, Cindy Carrow of Omaha, Nebraska, Sandra (Troy) Nazzaro of Topeka, four grandchildren, Michele, Amanda, Erin and Alex, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Bethanie Nazzaro and his siblings, Charles Lemon, Bob Lemon, and Tom Lemon.

Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 3, P.O. Box 1541, Topeka, Kansas 66601.
