Linda Kaye McGinty, 65 Years, of Topeka, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025.

She was born February 22, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Bill and Jean Ledbetter.

Linda was employed by Grazie’s, Topeka Steakhouse and Golden Corral until retiring in 2021.

Mrs. McGinty was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church, of Topeka.

Linda married Kevin McGinty on September 30, 1978 in Holton, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include children, Misty (Travis) Hayes of Kansas City, Lucas McGinty of Hoyt, Aaron (Keyri) McGinty of Topeka; grandchildren, Adam & Sofia Hayes, Krista & Shawn McGinty, and Lily, Isabelle & Jack McGinty; great grandson, Kian McGinty; sisters, Donna Lacey, and Karen (Larry) Copeland; brothers, Joe (Regina) Ledbetter and Bill Ledbetter and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Florence Ann; infant granddaughter, Emily Kay McGinty; brother-in-law, Floyd Lacey, and nephew, Joshua Lacey.

Linda loved spending time with her family, and had a heart for taking care of others. She was thrilled to attend her grandchildren’s sports and dance events. She enjoyed flower gardening, jigsaw puzzles, volunteering, church activities, Bible study, summertime, and day trips with her sisters and her husband.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
