Linda S. Russell

Linda S. Russell, 70, of Soldier, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at The KU Campus St. Francis. She was born February 28, 1955 in Craig, Nebraska, the daughter of Mary Maxine Berlin-Ayers.

Linda graduated from Chanute High School and earned an Associate Degree in Allied Health from Fort Scott Community College. She was employed by the Fort Scott Manor for many years before retiring in 2003. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Berlin-Ayers, her brother John Ayers, sister Ada Howard, and her son-in-law, James "Jim" Staehli.

Survivors include one daughter, April Staehli of Onaga, Kansas, one son, Jeffrey Feagins of Springfield, Missouri, seven grandchildren, Dakota, Jarod, Parker, Jaxsyn, Morgan, Kaiden and Kamren, one great-grandson, Theo and her siblings, Danny Ayers, Dennis Ayers, Robert Ayers and Cecil Ayers.

A private Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
