Marcella A. Giesy

Marcella A. Giesy, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. She was born January 19, 1934 in Aliceville, Kansas, the daughter of John H. and Edna (Rahmier) Schotte.

Marcella graduated from Burlington High School in 1952 and attended Washburn University. She was employed by Peoples National Bank for 15 years.

Marcella married Bobbie Giesy on August 8, 1954 in Burlington, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Norma Johnson.

A private Celebration of Marcella's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Cotton-O'Neil Cancer Center, 1414 SW 8th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606. 

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
