Margaret Hughes-Towle, 72, of Topeka, died on April 15, 2016. She was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1943 and grew up in Dodge City, Kansas.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Melba McFadden; son, Travis Towle; son-in-law, Bob McFadden; daughter-in-law, Rochel Towle; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, John, Davis, and Carroll Hughes.

Margaret graduated with a nursing degree from Washburn University and taught nursing for many years. In addition to nursing, she was also an accomplished musician and composer in piano, organ, voice and flute. She had many music students over the years that were a very important part of her life, as well as her career in nursing.

The family asks that instead of flowers, contributions be made to Midland Care Hospice or a favorite charity.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26th at Dove Cremation, 4020 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
