Marilyn Jean Riley

Marilyn J. (Moore) Riley, 95, passed away, May 4th, 2025.

Marilyn was born July 23, 1929, daughter of William and Marie (Perry) Moore. She was united in marriage to Austin J. (Bud) Riley on August 28, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1983. They had five children, Donald (Connie), Dennis (Dixie), Lila (Rick) Osburn, Jayme and John (Nancy).

Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph, Richard, Billy and sisters Marjorie Raff, Mary Helen Moore and Marguerite Strange.

Marilyn is survived by Brothers Glenn Moore and sisters Marloyane McCarter, Marlene Keck. Proudly survived by 14 grandchildren, Kimberly Hawken, Kelli Bradbury, Erin Lord, Angela Blanchard, Kristi Tallen, Heather Riley, Corey Riley, Kayci Osburn, Justin Riley, Joshua Riley, Andrew Riley, Jacob Riley, Audrey Riley, Nathan Riley . Marilyn is survived by many great-grandchildren.

Marilyn attended vocational school after raising her family and was a licensed practical nurse for many years. She worked at Stormont Vail Emergency Department and then later for Minor-Med. She loved nursing.

Memorial services are Saturday May 10th visitation at 10:00 followed by celebration of life at 11:00 A.M. at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd. Interment will be at Dover Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, a charity that Marilyn very strongly supported.
