Martin Hale, born on August 18, 1953, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on July 26, 2026. A man who encapsulated the virtues of wit, great listening skills, and being an amazing father, he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to family. The indelible mark he left in the hearts of those who knew him best is proof of a life well-lived.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Hale, his devoted son, Chad Hale, adoring daughter, Lindsey Bray, supportive sister, Cynthia Mata, and brothers and sisters through marriage Debby and Rolland Exon and Louann and Bobby Fulmer. He also dearly loved his 7 grandchildren: Jack, Zack, Mackenzie, Madison, Jack, Brooke, and Faith and his many nephews and nieces. His memory will continue to be a beacon of love and strength for his family.
A passionate golfer, he managed to skillfully escape a 12-foot high bunker in Scotland at the first try. However, it was his musical journey that brought him wider recognition. Being inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame with his band, The Exceptions, was a testament to his remarkable talent and adherence to excellence.
A Celebration of Life for Martin will be held on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 at Fellowship Bible Church, a fitting tribute to a life that was a celebration of love, laughter, music, and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for 'Patty Hale’s Memory Care', a cause close to Martin's heart. For those interested, you may make your contributions at
