Melissa I. Baker, 54, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born September 1, 1967 in Eureka, Kansas, the daughter of Christine Britt.
Melissa graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas. She was employed by the State of Kansas Department of Revenue as a Collections Agent.
Melissa married David C. Baker on February 14, 2000 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2020.
Survivors include children, Ashley Thomas, Latishia Thomas, Donovan Baker of Topeka, Ryan Thomas of Texas and Mariah (Keegan) Rupple of Auburn, 12 grandchildren, her mother, Christine Britt and her siblings, Amber Track-Moore of Topeka, Edie Alexander of Texas and Matthew Alexander of Texas.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
