Michael Scott Alexander, 69, of Topeka, KS, passed away on January 7, 2026; born January 30, 1956, to Glen and June Alexander.
Mike had a big heart, cared deeply for others, and was full of good intentions. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures cheering on his nieces and nephews at sporting events, spending time at the lake fishing, and watching the KU Jayhawks play basketball. These moments brought him joy and allowed him to stay connected to the people and pastimes he loved.
Mike dedicated many years of service to the City of Topeka Water Department, where he worked until his retirement. He took pride in his work and the role he played in serving his community, and he was known as someone who could be counted on to do his job faithfully.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and June Alexander, and his sister, Kristy Alexander.
Mike is survived by his sisters, Angie Gnann and Debbie (Bruce) Berends; nieces and nephews Crystal North, Cheryl Shermoen, Jessica Doak, Luke Berends, Summer Gnann, and Hunter Gnann; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great nephew.
Mike will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty to those he cared about, and the simple joys that brought meaning to his life. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
