Michael F. Metz

Michael Frank Metz, 52, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

He was born May 28, 1973, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Jack and Portia Metz. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1991.

Michael was an avid fisherman and bow hunter. His favorite was to hand fish. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Michael was a loyal friend that would help anyone in need. He loved to tell stories, listen to loud music, and fast cars. Anybody who knew Michael knew that he loved to dress sharp and had a big collection of Nike shoes. Michael was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan.

Survivors include his sons, Austin Metz and Noah Metz; daughter, Lexy Duncan; father Jack and stepmother Lynn Metz; brother, Brad Metz; and stepsister, Shawna Allen; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Portia Metz.
