Michael A. "Mike" Taylor

Michael A. "Mike" Taylor, 68, of Topeka, went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 9, 2026. He was born April 4, 1957 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Charles T. and Rosetta I. (Newton) Taylor.

Mike graduated from Topeka High School. He was a member of the Jackson Memorial in Topeka where he a drummer with the musician group. He enjoyed listening to jazz music and spending time with his family and friends.

Mike married Billie Jackson. They later divorced.

Survivors include children, Shawnte’ Taylor, LaTanya Taylor, Dame Taylor, Dane Taylor, Laresa McGee, Donna Sanchez, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three siblings, Carl Taylor, Eric Taylor and Jackie Taylor, and a host of extended family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Sacou McGee, and his two siblings, Shelly Taylor and Derrick Taylor.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be announced as soon as possible. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
