Michael L. West

Michael L. West, 61, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born October 29, 1963 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Richard L. and Patricia E. (Burr) West.

Michael graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1981. He was a Navy Veteran, serving as an Avionics Technician on the E-2C Hawkeye aircraft for 12 years before being discharged. After his discharge, he was employed by Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates and Intel Corporation and later owned and operated his own HVAC business, "Tranquility Heating and Air Conditioning" in Phoenix, Arizona. He had resided in Topeka since October 2021.

Michael married Michelle K. Jackson on May 4, 1996 in San Diego, California. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include children, Isabeau (Sean) West, Caleb West, Cameron West, Kenny (Melissa) Clark, Jason (Ilana) Clark, Andrea Clark, nine grandchildren and his siblings, Valarie (Steve) Ellis and Mark West. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to TARC, 2701 SW Randolph Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66611.
