Michael Salcido, 74, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
Born on December 30, 1950, in Santa Ana, California, he was the son of Robert and Minnie Salcido. Michael honorably served in the United States Army.
A passionate individual, Michael found great fulfillment in his work with the Foster Grandparent Program of Topeka, where he made meaningful connections and positively impacted the lives of many. He was also an accomplished artist and musician, known for his remarkable rock sculptures and talent with the harmonica.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Morgan McCarter and Tobie Tobias; sons, Michael (Paco) Salcido and Luke Salcido; his loyal canine companion Buddy; and numerous siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Salcido, and siblings Richard, David, Danny, Arthur, and Matthew.
While Michael lived a majority of his life in Southern California; he moved to Kansas in 2020 to be with his daughter and beloved grand daughter Ameerah.
