Mindy Beth Hinton

Melynda "Mindy" Beth Hinton, 69, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026.

She was born December 30, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Melvin and Betty (Wilke) Beach. She graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and later attended Cosmetology school.

Mindy worked as a general manager for Paisano's Restaurant for many years, until retiring.

Mindy is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ron Shipley; her previous husband and friend, Don Hinton, and their 3 children, Heather (Keith) Hogan, Donnie Hinton, and Logan (Danny) Mantyla; her step-son, James (April) Shipley; grandchildren, Rex & Alice Hogan and Owen & Rosalie Mantyla; step-grandson, James Jr.; brother, William "Bill" (Sharon) Beach; nephew, Josh (Katy) Beach and their children, Porter & Lincoln Beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mindy had the biggest heart for people and will be remembered as a great mom. She would help anybody with anything. She was giving and loved to serve other people. She loved having a good time getting together with friends and playing a game of cards. Her family and friends will miss her generous spirit and compassion.

Please join her family in celebrating and saying goodbye to Mindy. They would like to invite all those her loved her to cry, laugh and share the many ways Mindy touched your heart. Mindy's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and the Tecumseh Park Shelter House, 4800 SE 2nd St, Tecumseh, KS 66542. This is a casual, open-house style event. Please come as you are and stay for as long as you wish. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, including all the iced tea you can drink, as Mindy wouldn't have it any other way!
