Mona L. Albrecht

Mona L. Albrecht, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was born February 24, 1936 in Sophia, North Carolina, the daughter of Carson and Lillian (Canoy) Robbins.

Mona graduated from Randleman High School in Randleman, North Carolina in 1954. She resided in Sophia, North Carolina until 1954 when she moved to Topeka. She was employed by Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Kansas for 20 years before retiring.

Mona married Burt Peck on August 7, 1954 in Sophia, North Carolina. They later divorced. She later married Don Albrecht on August 3, 1974 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include children, Vicki Crockett of Topeka, Debra Peck of Emporia, Kansas, and Scott (Jean) Albrecht of Topeka, four grandchildren, Cole (Kim) Crockett, Jesse (Rachael) Crockett, Jennifer Thomas, Jeremy Stephenson, and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lincoln, Knox, and Maverick.

Mona was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Stephen Crockett, and her siblings, Hobert Robbins, Kyle Robbins, Metta Hartley, Selma Sheffield, Mildred Robbins, and Joel Robbins.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 8001 Conser, Suite 240, Overland Park, Kansas 66204.
