Pamela Jean Hoggatt, 77, of Topeka, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2026.
She was born September 2, 1948, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Edwin and Ruth (Murrow) Hoggatt. She graduated from Iola High School in 1966. She attended Allen County Community College. Before her graduation, she met her future husband and they eloped to Connecticut.
Pam worked under various departments in the State of Kansas until her retirement.
Ms. Hoggatt was a member of Jaycee Jane's, of Overbrook.
Pam married Robert Wells on April 5, 1969 in Stanford, Connecticut. They later divorced but remained best friends until his passing on August 1, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Hoggatt; sister-in-law, Fran Hoggatt; and niece, Jana Burke.
Survivors include daughters, Gina (Rob) Cremeen and Tracy (Terry) Fiegener; grandchildren, Alison Vece, Dustie Fiegener, Joseph Fiegener, Christopher (Ashley) Fiedler, Shelby Gentry, Taylor Fiegener (Gunnar Rice), Shea Cremeen (Jaret Priddy), Halie (Wyatt) Taylor, Brittany (Matthew) Wurm, and Kylee Nilges; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Brandy, Kiera, Danyelle, Kolton, Blake, Kenlie, Gresyn, Eoin, Maverick, Amelia, Walker and Kaysen; and great great-grandchildren, Mary Jayne and baby brother on the way; nephew, Jeff (Lisa) Hoggatt; great nieces, Hayley Burke and Breanna Burke; great nephews, Daniel Hoggatt and Jacob (Carolyn) Hoggatt and so many close friends.
Pam had a love for all things living including her house plants, gardening and potted plants, and animals especially her grand puppies. She was an avid sail boat racer. She was a member of the Shawnee County Yacht Club for many years and raced C-Scows.
Pam's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026 at St. John's Catholic Church, 310 S Jefferson Ave, Iola, KS 66749. Interment of the cremated remains will be at Highland Cemetery in Iola, KS.
