Patsi Jane Boyd, 79, died at Midland Hospice on October 1, 2026.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to First United Methodist Church or The Dementia Society of America. Potts Chapel is coordinating details.

Patsi was born in Independence, Kansas, on December 12, 1946, the daughter of Harold Joe and Viola Pearl Grabham. She graduated from Independence High School in 1965 and married Dale “Butch” Boyd on February 24, 1966. Patsi was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother. She worked alongside her husband in the insurance industry. She eventually retired in 2014 and moved to Topeka, Kansas, to be near her children. Survivors include Kristin Scott and her husband, Don, of Topeka, Kansas; son Brian Boyd of Kansas City, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Justus Scott, US Marine, and Kallie Scott, who resides in Topeka.
