Raleigh "Dale" Turner

Raleigh "Dale" Turner, 73, of Berryton, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
He was born May 10, 1950 in Topeka, the son of Chester R. and Vera J. (Lloyd) Turner.
Raleigh graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1968. He then completed an Electrical Apprenticeship in 1974. He was employed as an electrician through IBEW Local 226 and worked for McElroy's Inc. He was a member of IBEW Local 226. In addition to being a full-time Electrician he spent many hours farming and ranching on his land, which was his true joy and passion. He spent the last few years serving on the board of the Shawnee Heights High School Future Farmers of America.
Raleigh married Carole Woodruff on June 26, 1971 in Overbrook, Kansas. They later divorced. Survivors include two children, Becky F. Turner of Topeka, Ryan Turner (Kristin) of Smithville, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Cole, Chase, and Quinn Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Jeannette Turner and sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and James Jones.
Visitation will begin at 10 am Tuesday, August 8, 2023, followed by funeral services at 11 am all at Dove Cremations & Funerals-Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. Private inurnment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Berryton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Shawnee Heights High School FFA, 4201 SE Shawnee Heights Rd, Tecumseh, KS 66542.
