Robert Lee Breinig Jr.

Robert L. Breinig Jr., 51, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2026.

Robert was born in Hill City, Kansas, on April 18, 1975, to Diane “Stebbens” Schuck and Robert "Bob" Breinig. He attended Hill City High School, where he excelled in wrestling and finished as the State Runner-Up during his senior year, an accomplishment he remained proud of throughout his life.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States military, including deployments to Kosovo and Iraq. His service reflected his deep love for his country and the unwavering commitment that defined his life. He was a proud veteran whose courage, strength, and quiet determination earned the respect of all who knew him.

Outside of his military service, Robert found joy on the open road riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with those he loved most. He was known for his generous heart, steady presence, and willingness to help others without hesitation.

Above all else, Robert loved his family. He shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Tanya, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love and the memories he created will live on forever.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Tanya “Simpson” Breinig; his stepson, Noah Lanthem; his mother, Diane Schuck; his siblings, Steven Breinig, Amanda Breinig, and Austin (Katie) Schuck; his nephews, Josh Forbes, Jordan Breinig, and Dylan Simpson; and his nieces, Madison Eaton, Taylor Phillips, Cora Simpson, and Devyn Simpson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" Breinig; his stepfather, Lenus Schuck; and his beloved grandparents.

A funeral service celebrating Robert's life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Kansas 66610.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a man who faithfully served his country, deeply loved his family, and touched countless lives through his kindness, loyalty, and strength.

Though his watch has ended, his legacy of love, honor, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
