Robert W. "Robb" Mitchell, 50, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born March 17, 1973 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Robert Dean and Janice Lynn (Carlock) Mitchell.
Robb graduated from Zion Benton High School in Zion, Illinois and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas. He was employed as a Criminal Court Clerk by the Shawnee County District Court.
Survivors include his domestic partner of 12 years, Douglas Jones of Topeka, sister, Kimber (Royal) Mellinger of McPherson, Kansas and nine nieces and nephews, Doralynn, Nickolai, Tyler, Gavin, Tommie, Hailee, Luke, Tzeitel and Josh, his aunt and uncle that were like second parents to Robb, Joyce and Bill Stein of Illinois and other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Topeka Wanamaker Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2435 SW Wanamaker Rd. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
A second memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N Chestnut St, McPherson, Kansas 67460. Private inurnment will take place in McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given through a fundraiser to offset funeral expenses through Angelink.com (type in Robb Mitchell) or by writing checks payable to Kimber Mellinger in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
