Roger Lee Adkins, 71, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.

He was born December 4, 1953, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Fred Dale Adkins, Sr. and Betty Jane Navarro and Step Father Ramon Navarro. He was a graduate of Lompoc High school in Lompoc, CA. He served in United States Navy during the Vietnam era, until he was honorably discharged.

Roger was skilled in Masonry and Construction and later retired.

He was a member of Iron and Masonry Unions.

Roger married Connie Sue (Doherty) Adkins 1975 until 1986. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two children, Miranda Rae Adkins and Brent Lee Adkins; three grandchildren Aneesa Woltje, Trey Woltje and Kaylee Aireanna Tobias; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Root and Arwyn Woltje. Siblings, Fred Adkins, Jr., John Adkins, Randy Adkins, Debbie Murphy, Angela Sanders, Ramona Navarro, Greg Navarro and Ray Navarro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister, Patricia Adkins and two siblings, John Adkins and Randy Adkins.

Roger enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid sportsman. He had a passion for surfing, fishing, hunting.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a private family setting. Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southeast Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
