Ronald Gene "Ron" Pollom

Ronald Gene "Ron" Pollom, 72, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born March 1, 1953, in Topeka, the son of Robert "Bob" and Virginia (Worthington) Pollom.

Ron graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1971. He worked for Falley’s Market for 28 years before they closed. He was employed by the Duffens Optical for 26 years before retiring in 2017.

Ron enjoyed playing cards with his siblings, walking around Lake Shawnee, taking drives around Lake Perry and gardening. He was also an avid K-State sports fan.

Survivors include his children, Douglas (Carlie) Pollom, Heather (Ryan) Schultz of Topeka; six grandchildren, Blaze, Landon, Jordyn, Erik, Audree and Tylar; and three siblings, Bob Pollom, LeAnn (Jerry) Froelich and Don (Debbie) Pollom.

A private gathering will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will be held in Eastview Cemetery at a later date.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
