Royce W. Hinchman, Jr.

Royce W. Hinchman, Jr., 83, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born May 11, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of Royce and Blanche (Floyd) Hinchman.

Royce graduated from Huntington High School in 1960. He was an Air Force Veteran. He was employed as an Electronic Technician for the State of Kansas for 30 years before retiring.

Royce married Marilyn K. Whitwam on November 9, 1963 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2023. He was also preceded in death by one son, Darin D. Hinchman and his siblings, Edward Hinchman , Tom Hinchman and Judy Brammar.

Survivors include children, Dawn R. (Warren) Fink of Topeka, Dina M. Hinchman of Topeka, two grandchildren, Kain and Ivy and his siblings, Don (Wilma) Hinchman, Terilynn Hinchman, and Shari Hinchman.

A Celebration of Royce's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
