Ruth Ann Puff

Ruth Ann Puff, 75, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at home, surrounded by love and family. She was born April 9, 1950 in Topeka, the daughter of Randall F. and Almena M. (Paige) Reser.

Ruth graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed by the Security Benefit Life Company for many years before retiring.

Ruth and David met in middle school, and later began dating. They married on July 4, 1968 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Lori Reser.

Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Puff of Topeka, three grandchildren, Isabella Laurie Anne Ticer, Brandon Brooks and Michael Dalsing, one great-granddaughter, Elyzabeth Cunningham, and her two brothers, Larry (Laura) Mumert and Randy(Cathy) Reser, multiple brother and sister in laws, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Ruth enjoyed shopping; and always looked for amazing bargains throughout the year because she loved to give gifts, especially for her favorite holiday, Christmas. Ruth loved fishing, and the out of doors and often worked in her many flower beds. The love of these things were only surpassed by her love of family.

A Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Thursday September 18, 2025 at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. Private family inurnment will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025 at Prairie Home Cemetery.
