Sally Lee Wright, 88, earned her angel wings on June 17, 2026.

Sally was born on March 20, 1938, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Grayden R. and Vivian L. (Willis) Waldorf. She spent her early years in El Dorado and moved to the Topeka area in 1970, where she built a successful career and a life centered on family.

On June 1, 1985, she married Johnnie Lee Wright. Together they shared many years of love and companionship until his passing in 2007.

Sally dedicated 26 years of service to Capitol Federal Savings Bank, where she rose to the position of Vice President of Loan Services. She was respected for her professionalism and commitment to helping others throughout her long career.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grayden and Vivian Waldorf; her brother, Willis Waldorf; and her husband, Johnnie Lee Wright.

Sally is survived by her son, Richard Gale Lynch and wife Charlene of Carbondale; her daughter, Cynthia Dianne Ryan and husband Richard of Topeka; her brother, Keith Waldorf and wife Becky of Towanda; her four beloved grandchildren: Robert Lynch and Ashley Christiansen of Topeka, Meaghan Burton and husband Dustin of Trinity, Florida, Randi Lynch and Alison Despard of Valley Center, and Jeffrey Ryan and wife Rachel of Andover; and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Sally found great joy in baking and treasured the companionship of her beloved dog, Abbie. She loved spending time with family and friends, always ready for shopping or dinner out. Her legacy of love and devotion lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her.
