Scott Keith Reed, 64, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

He was born February 7, 1961, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Floyd "Bill" and Kay (Owen) Reed. He received his education through 501 Special Education.

Scott was employed with TARC Industries for a number of years.

Mr. Reed was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Topeka.

Survivors include his mother, Kay Reed; second cousin, Mary Jo Jackson; cousins, Kelly Owen, Kristy Keller, Korey Owen, and Kacey Cattoor-Heckard, and various other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Reed; his grandparents, Howard Curtis & Jimmie Owen; and uncle, Howard “Dean” Owen.

Scott always enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and all who met him. He had unwavering faith in the Lord and loved watching Charles Stanley Ministries and online First Baptist Church services. He had quite the collection of quarters, and you could usually find him going to the snack bar at TARC Industries and grabbing his favorite beverage Coke.

Scott’s wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future, time and date to be announced. His final resting place will be at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel in Topeka, Kansas.
