Sharon Kay Rosenow

Sharon Kay Rosenow, 80, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025.

She was born June 11, 1945, in Fairmont, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Frieda (Pietrowski) Boese. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1963.

Sharon was employed by the Department of Veteran Affairs for 36 years, until retiring.

Mrs. Rosenow was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Topeka. She was a former president of NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees).

Sharon married Vernon A. Rosenow on May 17, 1969 in Litchfield, MN. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Boese.

Survivors include son, Aaron (Aimee) Rosenow; brother, Art Boese; sister, Barbara Fellersen; grandchildren, Annalise, Avery, and Archer, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sharon loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She attended many of their activities and enjoyed cooking a good meal for them. She was very involved in her church and gave much of her time volunteering at I Care.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore St, Topeka, KS 66606. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., the night prior at the funeral home, Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. She will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont, MN at a later date.
