Steve Baum, Sr.

Steve Baum, Sr., 71, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at a Topeka hospital. He was born November 4, 1953 in Topeka, the son of Joseph and Teresa (Engroff) Baum.

Steve attended Topeka High School. He was employed by Topeka Metal Specialties for over 35 years before retiring.

Steve married Becky Warren on August 14, 1972 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives. Other survivors include children, Chris (Jim Bob) Yeomans of Utah, Jenny (Tracy) Sarrett of Smithville, Missouri, Steve (Marley) Baum, Jr. of Tecumseh, eight grandchildren, Taylor (Chase), Paige, Bobbie, Beau, Ty, Jace, Sami and Lincoln, three great-grandchildren, Rowyn, Taytum and Emery and his brother, Joe Baum of Carbondale, Kansas.

Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Annette Munoz.

A private Celebration of Steve's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
