Education, both formal and from the heart, played a significant role in shaping Susan's character. She relished her time cheering at Hanover KS and eagerly lent her spirits and energies to help grow the family business throughout her formative years. This cooperative spirit seamlessly transitioned into her adult life, where the joy of gathering her family together became one of her greatest pastimes. Those cherished moments spent with loved ones will forever resonate within the hearts of her family, reminding them of the strength of their bonds.

Susan took immense pride in her children, Derrick Thomas (Emery) Moore and Jensen Mackenzie (Kevin) Simon, who brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment. Her sense of pride extended to her granddaughter Luna Simon, whose presence in Susan’s life was nothing short of a remarkable blessing.

Beyond her professional career and devotion to her family, Susan delighted in the simple pleasures of life. Shopping for purses and jewelry provided her with joy, while every find added a sparkle to her vibrant spirit.

Survivors also include her loving parents, Roy and Pat Barnes, who instilled in her the values of kindness, compassion, and community; her beloved husband Mark Moore, with whom she shared an enduring partnership of 44 years. Her siblings, Connie(Peter) Thoma and Mike(Ted McFeeters) Barnes, will remember her not only as a sister but as a source of inspiration and affection.
