Susan Maree "Sue" Revell, 87, died Friday January 16th, 2026, of natural causes. She was born in Topeka, Kansas, February 7, 1938, to Henry and Martha Mason, graduated from Highland Park High School and became an RN at Stormont-Vail School of Nursing in 1959. During her three-month psychiatric affiliation at Topeka State Hospital, she received the Isabel Erickson Award for excellence in psychiatric nursing presented by Karl Menninger.

She married Arthur Revell in 1962. They moved to Texas where Sue worked as a psychiatric nurse. After divorcing in 1978 she returned to Topeka and worked as a psychiatric nurse at Stormont-Vail until 2013. During that time, she obtained a BA degree in Psychology at Washburn University in 1990. Sue was a longtime member of Unity Church of Christianity.

She is survived by her son, Bradford Revell, daughters Amy Revell and Chelsea Hicks, and son Chandler Hicks, of Topeka; her grandchildren Dillon and Dakota Revell, Angela Silkey, Melanie Reamer, Lelia Melkus, Amanda (Tim) Hirt and her great-grandchildren Julian Frye and Kennedy Reamer. Daughter Rebecca Hicks (Amy's twin sister) died in 1995. Sue's parents; brothers Robert Mason and Richard (Virginia) Mason; sister Barbara Mason; and grandson Timothy Kimble also preceded her in death.

A Visitation will take place from 2:30pm to 3:00pm on Friday January 30, 2026 at Dove Southwest Funeral Home, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00pm.
