Theresa Ann “Tosha” Eagleman, 65, of Topeka, entered the presence of her Lord on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Born on February 22, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, she was the cherished daughter of Jessie and Mary (Thomas) Eagleman.
Tosha lived a life defined by courage, creativity, compassion, and faith. A proud graduate of Topeka High School, she earned a scholarship to the University of Colorado Denver, where she studied art and began shaping a lifelong relationship with creative expression. Though art remained close to her heart, her calling to help others led her to expand her education in service and healing. She earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ottawa University and went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a minor in Addiction Counseling, along with a Certification in Victim Services from Washburn University. Through her many years of work as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Tosha offered far more than medical expertise-she gave comfort, compassion, and dignity to every person she served. This past August, Tosha fearlessly returned to her artistic roots. She fulfilled a cherished dream with her first show, Creations of Hope Art Exhibit, a celebration of renewal and resilience. Tosha was also a woman of uncommon wisdom, and her voice continues to inspire and guide through her published articles in the “May I Live with You” series-touching the hearts and shaping the minds of countless community members for generations to come. Above all, Tosha was a woman of deep and abiding faith. As a member and supporter, she found spiritual nourishment through the teachings of Joyce Meyer Ministries and drew inspiration from Joseph Prince and Larry Stevens Furtick, Jr. Her life was a testament to her belief in grace, compassion, and the enduring power of love.
Surrounded by love, she leaves behind her devoted daughter, Ashley E. Reddick-Eagleman of Topeka, Kansas, and her beloved mother, Mary Ann Eagleman, also of Topeka. Her family circle continues through her sisters-Rashell Overstreet of Cincinnati, Ohio; Candace Webb-Cohen of Tonganoxie, Kansas; Mary McCray-Casey of O’Fallon, Illinois; and Carole Jean Eagleman of Topeka, Kansas-each carrying pieces of her laughter, wisdom, and strength. Her presence touched many lives, extending well beyond bloodlines. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, informally adopted sons and daughters, and dear friends all felt her warmth and generous spirit. To know her was to feel seen, to be encouraged, and to be reminded of the simple joys of connection. She was the family’s beloved “pet whisperer,” a title she embraced with delight. Her home overflowed with love-and fur. Beside her were Axel Foley and Sassy, her faithful dogs, and cats Cliffhanger and Janet “Wes” Craven, each with a character all their own. Together, they filled her days with laughter, loyalty, and the comforting rhythm of paws and purrs.
In ways both spoken and unseen, she poured light into the hearts of many-guiding, encouraging, and reminding all who knew her that kindness and resilience are powerful forms of love.
A Celebration of Tosha’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
