Thomas Juan-Dionté "TJ" Brown, 30, of Topeka, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born July 3, 1995 in Topeka, the son of Thomas E. Brown, Jr. and Vanessa Munoz.
Thomas attended Topeka Public Schools. He was employed in Home Health Care, where his caring spirit and compassion for others touched many lives. Thomas had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Known for his loyalty, kindness, and sense of humor, he was a big brother to many and a little brother to others who loved him dearly.
Above all, Thomas loved his family and cherished being a father to his daughter, Tajia (10), and a loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, who brought great joy and pride to his life. His presence and bright smile, brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include one daughter, Tajia Brown, his parents, Thomas Earl (Lea) Brown, Jr., Vanessa Munoz, his maternal grandparents, Barbara Munoz, Edward (Debbie) Munoz, his siblings, Antonio Brown, Turelle Netherland, Omarion Baylor, Mario Baylor, Blaise Brown, Asia Watson, Nikaela Brown, Noa Brown, his aunts and uncles, April Munoz, Lakeisha Brown, Latrelle Holloway-Hicks, Kyia Holloway, Tamika Holloway, Trinique Smith, Territa Smith, Jetina Benimon, Carl “Neil” Brown, Tevin Smith, Eddie Munoz, Johnny Smith, Ray Green, Tomareon Brown, James Benimon, and a host of extended family and friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Brown Sr., his paternal grandmother, Mamie L. Rogers, and his uncle, Andre L. Baker, Jr.
Thomas will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private services and burial will take place at a later date.
