Toka Iantha Flickinger, lovingly known as "Tonka Toy," was born on December 27, 1977, in Overland Park, Kansas. She passed away on July 17, 2025, in Auburn, Kansas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and adventure. In her early years she loved spending time with her grand parents Toka Haynes and Carl Haynes who proceeded her in death. 

Toka dedicated her life to caring for others, beginning at home with her children. As they grew older, she transitioned into a career in Home Healthcare. In this role, she embraced the opportunity to treat and care for residents with the compassion and respect they deserved. Toka harbored a desire to further her education in Healthcare, showcasing her relentless pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.

In addition to her devoted career, Toka had a vibrant personality that inspired those around her. Her passion for taste testing led her to become a source of inspiration for many.  Toka was the quality control supervisor in her kitchen, ensuring that every meal was prepared with love and care. In a testament to her adventurous spirit, she once bravely cliff dove, embodying her zest for life.

Toka was not only a dedicated mother but also a proud grandmother, reveling in the time spent with her grandchildren, Sadie and Brantley. She took immense pride in her children—Caitlin Lane, Sara (Garret) Nelson, Lacey Israel, Lauren Israel, Korbyn Flickinger, Eli Flickinger, Gavin Flickinger, Stephanie Flickinger, and William Flickinger—celebrating their accomplishments and supporting their dreams. Her love extended to her many nieces and nephews.

Toka served as Steven’s battle buddy through four deployments, providing invaluable support as he transitioned back to civilian life. This experience deepened her already compassionate nature, showcasing her commitment to caring for others.

Toka possessed a myriad of interests and hobbies that enriched her life. She loved her puppies Sarge and Leo, nurtured her garden, and took pride in caring for her plants. An avid fan of LuLuLemon, she enjoyed collecting purses and shopping with family and friends. Her chickens were her yard raptors both a joy and pain. 

Toka is survived by her husband, Steven Alan Flickinger, with whom she shared a loving marriage for ten years, as well as her brothers, Tommy Haynes, Michael Barr, and Bradley Barr. She is also survived by her loving children and grandchildren, who were the center of her universe. Toka joins her beloved deceased family members, including her father, Lance Haynes, and William Flickinger Sr., in eternal rest.

Her memory will forever be cherished by all whose lives she touched with her love and kindness. Toka Iantha Flickinger will be remembered as a devoted mother, a passionate caregiver, and a woman whose spirit knew no limits.
