Verna Lea Mosbrucker

Verna Lea Mosbrucker, 71, of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was born January 14, 1951 in Topeka, the daughter of William E. and Lucille M. (Scofield) Fargo.
Verna attended State Street Elementary, Holiday Junior High and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1969. Verna married Hank Mosbrucker on November 16, 1974 in Topeka. She was employed at Hallmark Cards, Adams Business Forms and the Pizza Parlor which she and her husband eventually purchased. They owned and operated B & K Welding, the Pizza Parlor and were partners in the Thunderhill Speedway.
Verna loved her Jayhawks and Green Bay Packers. She was also a fan of NASCAR and Dirt track Racing but nothing could compare to the love she had for her family and grandkids.
Hank preceded her in death on April 19, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Julie Elaine Ketter.
Survivors include children; Brad Mosbrucker, Kristi (Wyatt) Slavens, son-in-law; Mike Ketter, grandchildren; Austen, Kyler, Kylea, Gavin, Jacob, Arionna, Matt, Nicholas and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Cale and McKinley, her sister; Ginger (Kevin) Smoot and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to Julie "Jewels" Cook and Donna Slavens for the loving care given to Verna over the past month.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont. Verna will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606 or to the Neuromuscular Access Initiative, 401 NE Emmett Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66616 or to Topeka Shawnee Special Olympics, 5393 Green View Ct., Meriden, Kansas 66512 or to Let's Help, Inc. 200 S. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66603.
