Vernon Adelbert Hahn, 55, Topeka, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005. He was born July 29, 1949 in Topeka, the son of Vernon and Elinor Hahn. He was retired from the army and served with the 82nd Airborne and 12th Special Forces Group. Mr. Hahn was a master sergeant. He was a jumpmaster and trainer in small arms, explosives and combat tactics. Survivors include his daughter, Gina Vidan, Eudora; brothers, Darwin Guy, Springtown, Texas, and Kenneth Hahn, Topeka; sisters, Marilyn McGinnis, Topeka and Cynthia See, Shawnee; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Newcomer Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.
