Wayne Randolph Martinson

Wayne Randolph Martinson, 76, was born on September 22, 1949 in Greenbush, MN to Rudolph and Clarice Martinson. He graduated from Lincoln High and Northland College in Thief River Falls, MN. In 1975, Wayne married Carole Docken from Grand Forks, ND and they made their home in California. They were blessed with a son, Eric, and also adopted Carole’s niece Karen.

Wayne enjoyed a forty-year career in audio-visual systems before retiring. Wayne was interested in the arts. He was an excellent drummer in school orchestra and band and enjoyed painting throughout his life. Wayne was an avid member of a Sacramento garden club for several years. Growing beautiful, fragrant roses for Carole was his passion.

Wayne is survived by his son Eric & daughter-in-law Inga Martinson, grandkids Anna and Nils Martinson, sister Jennifer Martinson & brother-in-law Gregory Bymark, uncle Selvin Bertilrud and cousins.

A memorial service is planned for May at East Walle Lutheran Church, Thompson, ND.
